It is one of the most reputed university of Australia. It is also ranked among world's top 100 universities. It's a beautiful campus with ivy covered buildings and architecture from 1800s. Lots of great clubs and societies, great social vibe and one gets an opportunity to study with some of the highest achievers in Australia due to the highest marks required for local students to enter.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum and academics is way above my expectations. The assignments and exams are much tougher than my previous experience in education. Everything is taken very seriously and serious actions are taken against plagiarism or collusion unlike Indian education system.
Exams
For getting admitted in my course (Masters of Management in Finance) it was important to clear IELTS. My score in IELTS was 7 bands. The minimum criteria to be met for admission is 6.5 bands.
Placement
Since I have not yet completed my course, I do not have much idea about it. But the University does have some Uni sourced internships this year. They have good pay too. It was somewhere around $28 per hour. Also, they have unpaid consulting projects going on throughout the year with real world clients.
Events
The campus life is amazing. The infrastructure is inspired by the 1800s. Its a very big campus spread across the city. It has heritage buildings and some great cafeterias. The are more than 50 clubs and societies and it is very easy to get into any of them. A lot of events are conducted by these societies throughout the year to keep students engaged and also provide with abundant networking opportunities.
Scholarship
I received a scholarship during my Under graduation at Amity University. There was no application procedure. It was solely based on my academics. The amount for this scholarship was INR 100,000.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 3:70. Every subject usually has 3 faculties. I had a professor named Mr. Gil Aharony who taught me Corporate Financial Policy. His method of teaching is unmatched. He opens every door of the brain and makes sure the students understand every concept. He twists questions in such a way that it helps in understanding the concept thoroughly.
Hostel
The accommodation abroad is pretty expensive. I pay $911 per month for a room in a 2BHK apartment. This is one of the major expenses for a student living abroad. The facilities in the accommodation are pretty good but they come with this high price. The infrastructure is good too.
