UWA was my first preference, chosen solely because unit choices are super flexible and I could choose electives in languages such as Japanese in addition to my majors. Also chosen because of the variety of units offered in my chosen majors Giving a great perspective of your chosen major.
Course Curriculum
Faculties are big but super helpful when you reach out. Unit coordinators and tutors are well informed and tend to be good for most units. Lectures are always quite preachy.
Faculty
It offers internship opportunities if you have a spare unit along the way where people are invested in giving you an internship opportunity which is very much needed on entering into the job market post-degree.
Accommodation
Lived off-campus, transport into uni is great and caters to the great number of students commuting throughout the day. Bus times tend to be irregular later you go so if staying at uni late plan according to a bus timetable.
Exams
ATAR needs to be above 80, achieved 90. Chosen based on score alone, they do not consider a portfolio which is a bit annoying if there's more to you than your academic side. English needs to be of a certain standard for entry which is useful to consider for international students but UWA offers English and math help.
Fees
Qualified for HELP payments. This degree can add up in value and loan is capped so be careful where you spend it but all undergraduate degrees are covered to my understanding. I would imagine it's quite tricky to get a scholarship however exceptional marks can grant you direct entry into postgraduate endeavors such as medicine.
