The college/university is quite close to where I live & it offers the best music program in western Sydney. I chose to do a music course to pursue a career in the music industry. The facilities will further help to advance and develop my skills.
Course Curriculum
It has been well developed & thought out by the professors of the university. They've taken things out of the previous course and added things in to make this one. Both theory and prac elements of this course curriculum help to broaden our knowledge and skill.
Exams
HSC (high school certificate), AMEB music exams - up to grade 6, music theory online exam grade 3 minimum.
Placement
There are quite a few job outcomes from doing this course. A practical component of this course is to go or and find jobs to volunteer at which will help us gain experience that'll allow us to work our way into the music industry.
Fees
We have to pay for the course itself, any equipment/instruments required (amplifiers, microphones - however, these can be borrowed from the music block).
Examination Structure
There are mini quizzes/pop quizzes every week which help us review all the topics that will be in the mid-year and final exams. The end of year exam contains every subject we learn throughout the year.
Faculty
It is very good. There are many music rooms available from 8am-5pm every day which are easily accessible to any university student. There are pianos in each room, electric drum kits, etc.
