  • The Master of Food Science and Technology is designed to provide professional training in food science and technology if the background is in science, engineering, agriculture or other related disciplines.
  • Students will be fully equipped to participate in the rapidly advancing field of food science and technology with advanced technical expertise and research skills and the ability to apply this expertise in inter-disciplinary contexts.
  • Students will develop skills and knowledge of food processing and preservation; chemical properties of food materials; food safety, packaging and labelling; and food product and process innovation.

Requirements for this program:

  • Students must have successfully completed an Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in science, engineering, medicine, or medical sciences that includes courses/ units in chemistry or biochemistry (biological chemistry) and microbiology with a minimum GPA of 2.0 (out of 4.0).

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Requirement for this program: Students must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) with a minimum 65% average
  • Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
