- This course is designed for communication professionals wanting to develop their existing knowledge and skills, and those new to communications wanting to explore a different career direction or study path.
- Create strategic communication and research plans for real-life clients through in-class and work-integrated learning experiences. Students will analyze and implement the latest practices in communication in both international and Australian contexts through the analysis of case studies and real-life scenarios led by academics and industry guest speakers.
- Examine the purposes and means by which leaders, organizations and interest groups create, coordinate and direct communication through strategy, planning, and engagement with society, the media, and government.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- A recognized Bachelor degree (AQF Level 7) in the discipline. Students who have completed a graduate diploma or equivalent (AQF Level 8) in the disciplinary area may apply for advanced standing of up to 12 credit points. In addition, students who have at least one year of full-time relevant workplace experience, such as in public relations, journalism and media and communication sectors, may apply for advanced standing of up to an additional 12 credit points.
- A minimum of ten years' work experience in the media and communication sectors or in a professional capacity, or a minimum of five years' work experience in a managerial role, together with evidence of ability to carry out research for and/or write professional reports.
