This program is an intensive learning/work experience designed to prepare graduates to work as technical communicators (writers, editors, documentation specialists) in a variety of fields.Placements are negotiated with appropriate employers by the Co-op Co-ordinator, who ensures that each position provides a meaningful learning experience consistent with the goals of the program.Graduates will be able to design, research, draft, edit and produce technical documents for a wide range of audiences and purposes.

Admission Requirements
- Ontario university or college degree or three-year college diploma or equivalent
- Statement of interest and resume
English Language Requirements
All applicants to Seneca must be well prepared to study in English. If you are coming from a country where English is not the primary language, you must show one of the following:
- Successful completion of a minimum of two years of full-time study in a school and country where English is the primary language
- Successful completion of a minimum of one year of full-time study at the postsecondary level in an institution and country where English is the primary language
- Successful completion of an intensive English program such as the English Language Institute
- English proficiency test scores from one of the international English language testing bodies are listed below. Only tests taken in the last two years are considered valid
- IELTS Academic - Minimum 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
- PTE Academic - Minimum score 58
- TOEFL iBT (including MyBest TOEFL and Home Edition) - Minimum 80 with no skill below 20
- Duolingo - Minimum score 105 to 110
- Cambridge English Exams (B2 First/FCE, C1 Advanced/CAE, or C2 Proficiency/CPE) - Minimum 169 with no skill below 162

- Second class /division degree results in a minimum overall average of 55%
- No more than 4 backlogs

- A bachelor’s degree from a university or college. This may include the official degree certificate or a provisional degree, or an official letter of graduation stating that you have completed the degree
- Official transcript. This must include a yearly or semester-based mark sheet. If it is a consolidated transcript, a backlog summary must be included
