  • This is an accelerated version of our Law Clerk program. If students have a previous postsecondary degree or diploma, you will finish this program in 13 months instead of four semesters. The program will prepare students to work under the supervision of a lawyer in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • In addition to learning about legal principles and ethics, students will obtain practical, hands-on training that will equip them for success in the workplace. The curriculum focuses on real estate, corporate and commercial, litigation, wills and estates, and family law, with an emphasis on the technological skills needed in these practice areas.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements

  1. Ontario university or college degree or equivalent, or an Ontario college diploma or equivalent.
  2. Applicants with substantial completion of a degree (75%) and a minimum of three post-secondary general education or liberal studies credits may be considered for admission.
  3. Applicants with credentials from outside of Canada must provide a "course-by-course" credential assessment from a recognized agency such as WES (World Education Services) or ICAS (International Credential Assessment Service); including a Postsecondary English course or equivalent.

English Language Requirements

All applicants to Seneca must be well prepared to study in English. If you are coming from a country where English is not the primary language, you must show one of the following:

  1. Successful completion of a minimum of two years of full-time study in a school and country where English is the primary language
  2. Successful completion of a minimum of one year of full-time study at the postsecondary level in an institution and country where English is the primary language
  3. Successful completion of an intensive English program such as the English Language Institute
  4. English proficiency test scores from one of the international English language testing bodies are listed below. Only tests taken in the last two years are considered valid
  • IELTS Academic - Minimum 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
  • PTE Academic - Minimum score 58
  • TOEFL iBT (including MyBest TOEFL and Home Edition) - Minimum 80 with no skill below 20
  • Duolingo - Minimum score 105 to 110
  • Cambridge English Exams (B2 First/FCE, C1 Advanced/CAE, or C2 Proficiency/CPE) - Minimum 169 with no skill below 162

  1. Minimum grades of 40% in all Grade 12 subjects. Must have program-required subjects in the final year of high school

  1. Grade 12 certificate awarded by CBSE or CISCE, with a transcript that indicates the grades in percentage. or
  2. Grade 12 predictive grades and grades 10 certificates, with a transcript that indicate the grades in percentage (for the conditional offer only)

Additional Notes

  1. Grades 10 math can be considered equivalent to Grade 11 math with a minimum of 40%
  2. Grades 10 science cannot be considered equivalent to grade 12 biology/chemistry
