Knew a lot of friends that planned on attending the university and had a strong interest in their cheerleading team. A great community environment and a very pretty campus felt very welcomed. It was very easy to make friends.
Course Curriculum
They offer a great variety of courses in my program. Some courses are better organized than others, most are weighted well and fairly graded. Some required courses were not very useful but a lot taught me a lot that I will be able to apply to future courses.
Fees
In the first year, the residence was quite expensive because of having a food plan. This year I only pay tuition which has made it a lot cheaper. Textbooks are another expense that I had to pay for which can become very expensive very fast when I need one for every class. $200 for a textbook is too expensive when I have to buy 5 of them.
Examination Structure
The exam structure is usually good. The final exam is usually well spaced but this year, midterms were not structured well. I had 4 midterms in less than 48 hours and found this very stressful and I was not able to perform as well as I could because the exams were all so close together.
Faculty
In the first year, the professors were less invested in teaching and I found a lot of them didn't try to make the content interesting. I lost interest in some of the courses I thought I would like because the professors did not teach it well. In the second year, the professors are a lot more understanding and more passionate about teaching us the content which has made the courses a lot better.
Hostel
I really enjoyed my residence last year. It was a good experience and I found it easy to make friends. The washroom situation was good, they have shared washrooms but completely separate rooms. I was in a double room and found I had enough room for myself and that it was a good size. I now live in a house off of campus which is very different than the residence. It is harder to see friends because people live so far away from each other.
