I applied to a couples college in Edmonton and Norquest was the first to respond and provide me with an offer letter.
Course Curriculum
Overall the experience has been wonderful since then. I had a one-month practicum while my program gave me experience working in an actual workplace. The course material is good and meets my expectations.
Exams
The admission requirements for my college are: IELTS score not less than 6 5.5 in high school, 65% or more required for core courses such as Maths for Accounting program.
Placement
it's quite good. The average wage a person can make is around $18-$22/hour. Job opportunities vary because there are many industries a person can work in. Accounting Technician, Book Keeper, Accountant, Auditor, Payroll Administrative, Accounts Assistant, and many more.
Internship
Yes, I have got one month's placement at NorQuest. And it was option 4 (one compulsory elective) with 2 courses and 2 work experience options. So I got my field experience.
Events
Campus life at NorQuest is great. I spent just 3 months on campus because later everything went online due to the pandemic. But the overall infrastructure is really good in terms of maintaining health, safety, and the environment.
Fees
$19520 is the program fee.
Scholarship
No, I didn't receive any scholarship.
Faculty
By the way, the Faculty of Business, Education, and Technology (FBET) is very good. They are just an email away to get in touch. Certainly, it has been difficult to get timely answers during the time of covid, but pre covid answers were within a good time span.
Hostel
Accommodation depends on what you are looking for. An average apartment room sharing will cost around $500-600 per month with all utilities included.
