I completed my grade 12 from India with an average of 90.21% CBSA board. I was looking for a university with good reputation and affordable for me. I chose university of Ottawa merely because I researched on Ottawa city and it appeared to be nice and cozy for a student. The whole admission process took around 40 days.

Course Curriculum

8

Excellent faculty with great staff members. Help centers also available in case you need them. Everyone is very helpful and your transition from your home country to Canada would feel exceptional.

Exams

The reason to opt was that I love computers. Only needed Grade 12 and grade 10 marks, I had above 90% in both classes so it wasn't hard to get in. IELTS was necessary, I scored 7.5 on my IELTS exam. Overall easily admitted, didn't have to go through a lot of trouble unlike a lot of students. Overall if you have good grades, not hard to get in.

Placement

10

Tons of job opportunities are available on and off-campus. Placements are very easily available if you have a good GPA and interpersonal skills. Companies visiting are Apple, Fortinet, Google, JSI, CHUO.

Internship

Yes, they have paid internship programs which and admission is based on a grade basis. I got into the program with an average of 72%. If you don't have good grades then you can still have chances of getting an internship but it would be hard to find.

Fees

Fees are around $12000 per semester if you are doing a bachelors program, if you are in masters then the fee per semester is around $7800. Scholarships are not very easily available, only if you have only A grades in all subjects. In masters you can do research with professors to get some money and scholarships.

Hostel

I lived on campus for first year because i was new to city and didn't know anyone else to live with. Also meal plan was included on the residence which provided 4 meals a day and was open 24/7. Food quality wasn't that great but doable. No Indian food available in the cafeteria.
