Columbia College is located in the heart of Vancouver near the science world which is a perfect place for school and easy to commute. This college has provided me with the perfect opportunity to explore myself and what do I really want to major in. I have also heard the stories of this college in my own city seven seas away. It is a little expensive for the internationals but I would say the experience is worth it for sure.
Exams
ILETS 8, math 95, physics 98, chemistry 93, English 95. ILETS is the world-known exam to test English credibility and can help one get into any university worldwide. It's in 4 stages: listening, reading, writing & speaking. We must quality in each to pass the whole exam. And high school grades in the mentioned subjects are also a key aspect to get into an institution in Canada.
Placement
The college doesn't provide placements and jobs which would be its one defect that could be improved. It helps with university transfers that's really the silver lining. Any student in this college can transfer to any university all throughout Canada with good grades. The institution has deep connections with other universities and their teachers as well to help students make connections.
Internship
Yes, there are opportunities like assistant student service member which you can apply through online applications from school websites and its the best job admired on the campus. There are also volunteering opportunities for student services assisting new students in orientation and registration which is a really good experience for interaction and work.
Fees
Fee structure as being an international student is always expensive. New students have had a 2-semester fee which is about10000$ already registered with the institution otherwise they are not allowed to join. And then they must pay their fee within 24 hours of registration to every class during the new semester or they will be deregistered through the semester which seems like a stupid rule.
Faculty
The college provides amazing education from well-experienced teachers. And lots of extra-curricular activities and tours to keep the moral lifted. They also provide ample opportunities to take part or even run clubs like the green club, book club & entrepreneur club. A friendly environment with great medical team on the premises.
Hostel
Personally living on my own work the best for me. I was lucky enough to find a place with some friends and share accommodation and expenses. We all go to the same school so it was a really good understanding and we all got along really well. I heard from my friends that the school accommodations are really expensive and congested.
