As I cleared my bachelor's with a CGPA of 7.8/10, I wanted to study in Canada coz of the abundant resources which Canada has. I wanted to pursue my career in data science so as to make a difference in the evolving Industry. I applied to many colleges like Georgian college, St Clair college, Fleming college and I got an offer letter from St Clair and Fleming. I chose St Clair as it was offering me a data science course.
Faculty
In our college, we have well-equipped labs where one can explore and evolve. Apart from the theoretical aspect, the practical aspect has been affected the most, I got to learn so many things as how to collect, curate, encode and store the data sets. My academic levels have been more and more challenging and we get into more complex structures which help us in critical decision making and demonstrate our ability.
Placement
As this course is available for the first time and we are the first batch, I can't explain upon it that how and which companies may arrive for future placements but overall St Clair has provided a lot better future opportunities.
Accommodation
We chose the off-campus as on campus is bit costly and to manage everything, it gets tough. The only challenge we face in Windsor, ON is that we are not able to get part-time employment as we are eligible to work 20 hours legally. Though being capable and potentially strong to make a difference still when we don't get a job, it makes us sad.
Exams
Data analytics for business helps in gaining the knowledge of how to visualize, manipulate and transform the data in a meaning way. How one can use the data to visualize it and use it to extract the story behind. Apart from the theoretical aspect, the practical aspect has been affected the most, I got to learn so many things which I can master into. IELTS, batch size was of 30, I scored 6.5 overall.
Fees
The fee structure for my program is of $27500, we had to avail a loan and we availed it through HDFC credible. Our scholarship forms gonna start soon and I'll be filling it to get the scholarship as my average of both the semesters have been 3.5+ out of 4. Overall including the GIC amount for an international student it comes around $35000-40000 of expenses for 2 years.
