The UofT name played a big role. Additionally, I liked that the program offered us the flexibility to choose different areas before choosing a specialization.
Course Curriculum
I feel like most of the courses focus a bit too much on the theoretical aspect rather than application, but they still provide a good base of knowledge on the respective subjects. The variety of courses that they offer is also very good. I just wish that the criteria for marking were fairer than it is; ideally, if they got rid of the "bell curve" or if they made the criteria for assignments and tests easier. That way, students would get higher GPA's.
Exams
To apply, I had to submit my grade 12 midterm grades as well as a supplementary video interview where I had to answer questions related to why I wanted to enter Rotman Commerce and talk about my extracurricular activities Only a video interview. To ace it, you have to know yourself really well and prepare the answers that you know in advance well
Placement
They are decent. UofT has no co-op but Rotman has a portal for jobs that students can use to apply.
Internship
No, I haven't
Events
There are a huge number of clubs available both at UofT and Rotman Commerce.
Fees
First-year costs around $8500. Second, to the fourth year cost roughly $17,000
Scholarship
Noo, UofT downtown does not have that many scholarships
Faculty
Rotman has a Rotman office with advisors who can help with career, school, exchange, etc. Advisors tend to be very approachable and easy to make appointments with, but sometimes one has to make an appointment some time in advance (a week or two sometimes)
Campus Life
Campus life was decent. I am a commuter so I did not get the full experience. The campus is nice but it is super big.
Hostel
No. I live in Mississauga and I would commute during the week. I had to take a bus ride and then a subway ride.
