- The Department of Communication Studies offers M.A. and Ph.D. programs that attract students from all over the world.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students holding a B.A. whether in Communication Studies or another discipline, may also be eligible for admission.
- A GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 is required to apply for this program, i.e. 75%, is required, though successful applicants typically have CGPAs that exceed this minimum.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Candidates should hold a B.A., or equivalent in a discipline relevant to the proposed field of study. from institutions with a NAAC rating of “A”.
- The university degree, described above, must have been completed with a minimum GPA required is 3.3/4.0 or the equivalent, i.e., 75%, is required, though successful applicants typically have CGPAs that exceed this minimum, according to the grading scale on the transcript.
- Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- Official Transcripts: Students need to submit a copy of their original transcripts.
- Statement of Interest: Statement of interest is one of the few ways to describe that faculty have to understand the student's motivation, the seriousness of purpose, and their level of commitment to the discipline.
- Two Reference Letter: Students will choose letter writers who will be able to comment on their academic record and other experiences or relevant skill sets.
- CV/Resume: including a summary of your academic background, professional experience, and other relevant activities (e.g., community involvement, volunteer work, etc.).
- Research proposal: The Department requires a research proposal (application statement) of at least 500 words outlining the candidate’s particular research interest in Communication Studies, a C.V., and two samples of written work such as a seminar paper.
