Cotton University is a renowned public state university, re-established in the year 2017. Located in Guwahati, Assam, Cotton University was previously established, as Cotton College, in 1901 by Sir Henry Cotton. This University is UGC-approved and accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC.

Cotton University Scholarships
Cotton University provides some scholarship programmes to its candidates. Income certificate of the student’s family is a must for availing these scholarships along with other required documents.
- Post-Matric Scholarship (to students of Assam) - It is a scholarship scheme that is given to the students of Scheduled Caste students who are studying post-secondary classes to help them to complete their education. This scheme is centrally sponsored scheme and is implemented through State Government & UT admissions.
- For SC/ST students, Postgraduate scholarships are given to students choosing various professional courses. The Students belonging to these backgrounds are given the opportunity to study PG courses in professional subjects like Engineering & Technology/Pharmacy/Management, etc. from the Indian Colleges or Universities.
- Single Girl Child can avail PG Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship. This Scheme is a UGC scholarship Scheme that is introduced to empower the education of girl children. This scheme compensates for the education of a single girl child who is pursuing higher education. Under this scheme, an amount up to INR 36,200 per annum is provided as financial assistance.
