Pittsburg State University vs Ferris State University

Located in southeast Kansas, the 223-acre (0.90 km2) campus is also the home of the $30 million Kansas Technology Center, a state-of-the-art technology program in the largest academic building in Kansas.

Located on the southern edge of the City of Big Rapids, straddling the border between Big Rapids Township and the city, the university has over 880 acres (3.6 km2) for its main campus. In addition to the main campus, Ferris State University has programs offered at 19 off-campus locations including Dowagiac, Grand Rapids, Flint, Lansing, Traverse City, and University Center.

The Campus Activities Center engages students in the transformational experience of Pittsburg State University by providing inclusive and dynamic co-curricular experiences that empower students to reach their potential. Various student organizations are present on the campus which the students can join and explore. The university has many dining places that serve different menus and cater various options to the students. The Intramural Sports Program is designed to provide currently enrolled PSU students, faculty and staff members an opportunity for experiential learning through participation in organized activities. Participating in the intramural sports program is a great opportunity to develop the essential qualities of leadership, cooperation, communication, planning, self-reliance, and a sense of fair play, while having a good time. University's fitness programs at Pittsburg State University provide a safe and convenient environment where one can begin, maintain and improve their level of physical fitness. 

Living on-campus gives the residents the opportunities and advantages that can make the collegiate experience more memorable, more enjoyable, and more successful. The Office of Housing and Residence Life views parents, guardians, and family members as partners in the journey that a student takes in continuing their education. The Birkam Health Center is the on campus resource to keep you healthy while achieving your academic success.  It offers primary care services as well as acute care for all Ferris students and their dependents. The Center for Student Involvement (CSI) puts you at the center of the student experience. The CSI will connect you with the events, organizations, and experiences that make life at Ferris so dynamic. From energizing events and inspiring traditions to unique students organizations and our fraternities and sororities, the CSI will help you find your people, your place, and yourself at Ferris. There’s always something to do and somewhere to go on campus. From informational to inspirational, developmental to just plain fun, there's never a dull moment at Ferris. The David L. Eisler Center is a place for students to socialize, study and relax. There are many events held in the ballrooms and conference rooms, many of which can be seen on flyers around campus. Student Organizations choose the David L. Eisler Center as a good place to hold meetings and events.
