Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business is located in the capital city of Washington DC, where there are abundant opportunities for business professionals. Fuqua School of Business is a part of Duke University in North Carolina, close to the natural ambiance of Duke Forest.

Fuqua has a higher number of international students at 38%, compared to McDonough’s 28%. However, McDonough has a representation of 37 countries, while Fuqua has only 11. Fuqua School of Business also has a much higher percentage of women, at 46% to McDonough’s 32%.

Fuqua offers a higher number of electives, but McDonough is not far behind, as they also provide certificates and Intensive Learning Experiences (ILE) which can make up your MBA specialization. 

Doing an MBA from McDonough allows students to complete a STEM-designated Management Science major by earning credits in electives focused on quantitative analysis and management science.

McDonough has the advantage of giving students access to big-time businesses in practice, but overall Fuqua has slightly better facilities and is more well-known among employers
