Location Facts

The college is located in the heart of the Irish City and opposite to Irish House of Parliament. The college building is divided by college park that has rugby and cricket pitch. The grounds of college are bounded by Nassau and Pearse street. 


St. Andrews University has its original campus in Laurinburg, North Carolina. The main campus is located south of downtown Laurinburg, bounded on the west by U.S. Routes 15 and 401. There is a lake in the middle of campus.


Library

Constituting 6 libraries, serving TCD and UCD, around 6000 new books are added to the collection each year. Electronic items purchased by the library are over 100,000 each year. 400 program-specific research collections are included per year. There is a total of 6 million print volumes of print books.


The DeTamble library provides the students with the resources they need. The library has 22,000 books in print, 200,000 e-books, 20 lendable laptops, 90+ databases, 1:1 research help, 39,000 research videos


Campus Life

The university offers 120 societies and 48 sports clubs. Trinity Ball, organized during spring term is Europe’s largest private party. Some of the most popular societies include philosophical and historical societies of the university. Student support is available for academic as well as personal needs. Student counseling services are also available.

Movies, parties, dances, athletic events, performing artists, comedians, novelty/variety shows, and intramural competitions are all highly anticipated events. GANZA is a weeklong event held annually every spring with many traditional, fun events scheduled throughout the week.

City Life

The city is full off cosy cafe, elegant parks, quirky restaurants, music gigs, fashionable clubs, classic clubs, and comedy shows. The city is full of cultural heritage and historical landmarks and exploring Europe through Dublin is convenient. The unemployment rate of the city is higher-5.3%, however, Dublin is still considered to have many recruiters. 


Laurinburg is located on US Highway 74, a major east-west four-lane highway, US Highway 401, a major north-south four-lane highway, and minutes away from Interstate 95 which runs from Maine to Florida.   Laurinburg offers the charm and quiet living of a small southern town with close proximity to larger cities, the mountains and the coast. Developing from its rich agricultural heritage, Laurinburg is still an agricultural community and it is also the progressive business and cultural center of Scotland County. The lifestyle in Laurinburg is relaxed and laid back, but never boring – not with year-round outdoor recreation, a vibrant arts scene, progressive community services and close proximity to beaches, the mountains, big city attractions, and college and professional sports.
