Location Facts

Initially, the campus established in Oxford, Georgia but the main campus is now located in Atlanta. Center for Disease Control & Prevention and the American Cancer Society lies adjacent to the campus. Emory point is also located adjacent to the campus. The campus is surrounded by Druid hills. 


The University of Georgia's main campus is made up of 465 buildings covering an area of about 762 acres (308 hectares). The university owns an additional 39,743 acres (160.83 km2) of land in 31 counties across Georgia. The campus is divided into north campus, south campus, east campus, west campus and central campus.


Library

The university 7 libraries- Robert Woodruff Rose Manuscript, Hugh Law, Pitts Theory Library, Oxford College Library, Woodruff health science center library, Goizueta library. The rose library holds 150,000 print titles and 1350 collections. 


The university has 14 libraries and it also has various special collections. Georgia Capitol Museum is a part of university libraries. There are three remote site libraries- Gwinnett, Griffin, and Tifton Campus libraries. 


Campus Life

The university has over 450 clubs and societies, 50 art clubs, LGBTQ community, 2 student organizations to join. You can also join 18 varsity sports clubs, The Emory Wheel newspaper, honor societies, sororities & fraternities, Barkley debate forum, and other clubs. The campus has one of the largest museums with southeastern American artifacts.  


University of Georgia has more than hunderds of student clubs that provide various services to the students. There are also various other engagement sources for the students to keep them engaged. International students also have their society that takes care of their well being.
