I really liked the postgraduate program in Molecular Medicine offered by the University of Ulm. It was very practical-oriented and involved learning several techniques and doing an internship for a month in a lab of our choosing. The course itself was very structured and student-friendly.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is constantly being updated to incorporate the latest technologies and information. We attend lectures by professors who are also group leaders of laboratories in the university, and they modify the curriculum according to their laboratory work, which of course incorporates the latest techniques. My Ph.D. As part of the graduate school of. programs, we are also taking industry visits where we can learn from and interact with non-academic professionals about career opportunities. We are also given the opportunity to attend certification courses which are meant for improving our soft skills, which builds the overall development of the student.
Exams
General requirements for the Ph.D. program at Ulm University require an IELTS score of 6.5 and above, an academic grade of 2.0, and passing an admission interview conducted by the Graduate School. Since I did my Master's at the same university and was assessed by the Graduate School in the past, I was not required to pass additional exams to enroll in my Ph.D.
Placement
The university organizes campus drives once a year where you can interact with industry professionals. Ulm is a research university, and therefore there are more opportunities to pursue a career in research.

Events
We are given many opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities.
Fees
I didn't have to pay any tuition fees.
Scholarship
No, I didn't receive any scholarship.
Faculty
The staff are very knowledgeable, while also being equally approachable. Collaboration is practiced and encouraged to a great extent at Ulm University, which promotes better learning and understanding. The student secretaries are also very efficient and always ready to help.
Hostel
You are given the option of living in student accommodation for your Master. They usually have shared rooms with 2-5 students in each apartment. The rooms and apartments are spacious and easily accessible from the university. For your PhD, you will need to find accommodation for yourself. Ulm is a relatively expensive city to live in, and accommodation can easily cost 300-500 Euros per month.
