TOEFL or Test of English as a Foreign Language is a test to measure the English language ability of a non-native student wishing to enroll in American Universities. It is one of the two major English language tests in the world. Internet-Based Test (IBT) format of TOEFL introduced in 2005 which had progressively replaced the Computer Based Tests (CBS) and Paper Based Tests (PBT) although paper-based testing is still used in selected areas. Like IELTS it has four sections consists of Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
