CAT or the Common Admission Test is a computer-based test held in India for admission into prestigious B-Schools like the IIM. The CAT exam tests the skills of the candidate in four main sections: Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI), and Logical Reasoning (LR). The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) started this exam and use the test for selecting students for their business administration programs. The test is conducted every year by one of the IIMs. The CAT exam is accepted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science to select students for their management programs.
