Admission to the M.Sc. programme is confined to candidates who achieve an upper second-class grade in the Postgraduate Diploma and whose research proposal for their M.Sc. dissertation is accepted.

There is also regular contact with the student's assigned academic supervisor.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Requirements: 

  • Applicants should hold a 2:1 honors degree from an Irish University or an Equivalent University
  • Three years of professional work experience in child protection and social welfare is required
  • Should have academic competency and higher grades
  • Academic transcripts of previous education
  • Letters of recommendation

English Language Requirements: 

  • IELTS: 6.5 overall minimum
  • TOEFL: 88 minimum in IBT; 570 minimum in PBT; 230 minimum in CBT
  • PTE: minimum 63 with no section below 59
  • Duolingo: 110/160 overall
