DCU is a very good business school and allowed me to complete 2 years in Boston as part of my course at Northeastern University. I also had the opportunity to do an internship in both colleges, which was very beneficial.

Course Curriculum

9

I think it?s very well thought out. It's quite general so you get a very good grounding in several aspects of business, as well as a good foundation of European and transatlantic studies. I also had the opportunity to study a language which I liked.

Placement

10

Very good, plenty of options for finance and accounting students in the big 4. However more difficult for marketing and entrepreneurship majors as there are not as many internship positions available.

Internship

Yes, it does. The internship was 4 months long in Dublin and 6 months long in Boston. They have been very beneficial in helping my post-graduate job search. I completed my first one in USIT in Dublin and my final one in HubSpot in Boston.

Events

10

There are several events celebrated in DCU, however, I can't think of them at the top of my head. There are a lot of societies and functions that go along with them that are really fun. The balls for A&F and Esoc were great.

Fees

We had to pay $3000 for the year in total for fees. We could pay in full at the beginning of the year or in a set of 2 installments, one at the start of each semester.

Scholarship

No, I have not.

Examination Structure

There is a single exam for more subjects at the end of the semester, and sometimes continuous assessment in the form of an exam or essay. I found the continuous assessment a lot more beneficial as I feel I learned more in those subjects.

Faculty

8

I think it is a very good business school and has won numerous awards. The faculty is well-recognized world-wide so I can work in several different countries with my degree.

Hostel

9

I lived in campus accommodation for my first year and off campus for the remainder of my years. I found on campus good for the first year to make friends but would prefer off- campus for future years as it's cheaper and you have more independence.
