DTS forms part of the School of Music and Theatre and is committed to excellence in teaching and research. It has a vibrant learning community dedicated to theory and performance practice, as well as historical, interdisciplinary and cross-cultural understanding of theatre and performing arts.
We offer courses on a full range of theatre theory and practices. DTS has close links with Cork Opera House, Everyman Palace Theatre, Triskel Centre and Firkin Crane, among others. It is located in The Granary Theatre and has close relations with DRAMAT, one of the best drama societies in the country.
Students study either a single or joint subject degree while continuing to deliver public events, performances and research collaborations with creative industries through our interdisciplinary research centre.
Written exams will take place before Christmas and in May. Not all modules will have formal examinations.?
