Shivam Pandey Review at Nyenrode Business Universiteit, Breukelen | Collegedunia

My good fortune to study in the beautiful Netherlands

SP
7.3 /10

I want to do my masters in the Netherlands because of less language barrier and the quality of education provided by this country. Moreover, SPJIMR is the cherry on the cake. So, it made sense for me to take up these universities.

Course Curriculum :

My specialization was in Digital Business and Innovation which included courses like Digital Transformation, Risk Management in Digital World, Marketing, etc. Therefore, it was very relevant to the growing industrial trends. We interacted with CXOs from some amazing companies and the academic/industrial experience was great.

Exams :

There are two ways to get admission here. Firstly through SPJIMR, Mumbai GMP. Where you need at least an 80 percentile score in CAT, and a good profile. No other tests are required. You are interviewed by SPJIMR, Mumbai, followed by the admission committee of Nyenrode Business University. Another way is direct admission to Nyenrod Business University without the SPJIMR partnership. Here, as far as I know, you need a minimum score of 7 in IELTS.

Placement :

There is no campus placement to be honest. But there are career fairs, and you get an opportunity to network with alumni, industry experts, who are more than willing to help you land the opportunity. Generally speaking, you need to apply to companies yourself, where the university will help you with your CV/cover letter. Opportunities are great but it takes 1-3 months to convert. If you are patient enough, you will get the result.

Internship :

I am working as a Marketing Project Intern at GrandVision. The stipend is very good and is at par with the Netherlands standard.

Events :

All facilities including WiFi, Library, Mess, Sports facilities, and Research facilities (eg: Design Thinking Lab) were made available to us. The campus has a beautiful infrastructure and you can sit and study anywhere as the whole campus looks like a library.

Fees :

Including both universities (fees, hostel, food, visa, etc.) 32-34 lakh rupees are required for studies.

Scholarship :

Since, this is a partnership between SPJIMR, Mumbai, and Nyenrode Business University, each student receives a scholarship of approximately 6000€ (not very sure).

Faculty :

The faculty of both universities are exceptional with extensive industry experience. They are very approachable and ensure that you learn things beyond the confines of the classroom.

Hostel :

Both the universities provide hostel accommodation which is decent enough to accommodate. The above cost includes hostel accommodation.
