Sai Venkata Vinay Chittuluru Review at University Of Auckland [UOA], Auckland | Collegedunia

Great exposure to self-learning and many business books

SC
5.3 /10

I was fooled by my consultant that it is the best university. I could have prepared for GRE and opted for the USA. Also, my consultant said this is the only country to get 3 years f work visa once I get graduated but getting a job without formal and professional work experience is tough in the country. also, the support for career development is poor.

Course Curriculum :

My course was on international Business without any core specialization. The teachings for some modules are insightful and excellent. However, for some courses, if professors were available to teach, it would have been great. Moreover, if the professor were giving supportive and constructive feedback. It could have been satisfied. If they provided us with time to participate in activities within the university. It would have been great. if they integrated all the courses and made them relevant it would have been best. I learned the definition of International business and theories relevant to it. The professors did not teach or provide lectures. All they said is to study by yourself. Only International Human Resources Management and Managing people with the organization were excellent courses. Professional development courses are a waste of money Business Analytics is a useless course in this university.

Exams :

My scores: IELTS 7.5; class minimum score: IELTS 6.5. Only IELTS or TOEFL or SAT is required.

Placement :

Zero support and zero assistance for business masters. They are developing their facilities and CDES is integrating with companies for internship roles and The library provides workshops from communication skills, writing skills. The university provides 24/7 free WIFI we will have photocopiers in the campus and they have their career app and website. we can log in for cv free checkups and applying for jobs but most of them are for locals and less for international students.

Internship :

I did not do any paid internships but once you complete your study you will be allowed for paid internships. Because as per your visa we are allowed for part time roles and not full time roles

Fees :

95000 NZD for 18 months

Scholarship :

I did not get a scholarship but to get the scholarship you need to score top grades. Only one or two are awarded. sometimes none.

Faculty :

1:15 is the faculty to student ratio. Every week we will have three times for each course. The first meet will be a plenary where the professor will highlight the key points and explain the theories of the concepts allowed for the week. The second meet will be a tutorial here another professor will interact with activities and clarify the doubts. The third meet will be Team-based learning where team activities and case studies are discussed from Harvard Business School. Some professors are approachable. Some are not. One professor made me wait outside of her office room for two hours and she emailed me saying she will be unable to meet me. Deepika Jindal, Joanne Mutter, Jane (Jinyoung) Choi Antje Fiedler Jo wright. Have influenced me a lot. Also, All the professors are PHD qualified

Campus Life :

Morning 6 am to 12 pm computer lab will be available with kitchen and bathrooms. Each student can copy a computer space for his/her research and submit the assignments. Will have many events, carrer events intercarions with entreperenuers with senior students, past studnets.

Hostel :

I stayed as Flatmate, The room rent per week will be from 130NZD to 200NZD. The internta and lectricty per month will be 50 NZd, Groceries per week will 60NZD and bus bill with student concession will be 30 NZD per week
