Chhattisgarh School News: Schools Not to Open in October

The State Government of Chhattisgarh has decided not to open schools in the month of October and will remain closed amid pandemic. However, the state government has not disclosed the opening date.

The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting headed by the chief minister of the state.

The cabinet has also decided not to organise the “State Foundation Day” ceremony on November 1, 2020.

The Ministry of Home Affairs recently released a set of guidelines for reopening of school and as per the guideline, the state government can decide about the reopening of school after October 15, 2020.

Also as per the guideline, schools cannot have more than 200 people in the premises.

Students in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, and Meghalaya, from class 9 to 12 have been allowed to attend the school as per the guidelines released in ‘Unlock 4’.

Students can seek guidance from the faculty on a voluntary basis.

States like Haryana and Punjab have decided to open the school however, states like Telangana and Maharashtra have decided not to reopen the school till October end.

states who have reopened the school are taking students only after parent’s consent.
