The CUET's online orientation programme has been specifically designed to clarify any doubts students may have about the CUET 2022 exam pattern.
The senior DU officials gave the candidates an overview of the CUET 2022 examination process during the inaugural session.
Informing the students, the officials said that the varsity’s resource persons will address domain-specific queries in the follow-up sessions, and also discuss the pattern of questions likely to be prepared for CUET 2022.
An overview of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, was also given by the senior DU officials as the varsity is likely to implement NEP 2020 from the upcoming academic session 2022-23.
Further, the officials gave a general outlook on various courses and flexibility that DU students will have in the upcoming future.
Speaking at the inaugural session, DU’s dean of students’ welfare said that the objective of the orientation-cum-guidance programme is to provide orientation and academic guidance to the aspiring students.
Although the university officials cannot go into detailed curriculum discussions for all the subjects, they will give a brief summary on how the multiple-choice questions will be designed, what are the tricks to recognise the correct answers and even provide mock tests, the dean said.
He added that the students can assess themselves through the CUET 2022 mock tests, where they'll understand their weaknesses. Students will also get to know about the various learning resources available to them.
He concluded by saying that even though the students have already begun their preparations to an extent, it's high time that they move towards specifications.
The university will do away with the old age practice of admission through merit list or cut off from this academic year 2022-23 as it has adopted CUET 2022 for students' admission into the varsity.
