New Delhi: Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2022 registration is starting from April 16, 2022. Students who are eligible for the PMSS 2022 may apply online.

The Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) for general stream students in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has also been announced by the government. From the academic session 2022-23, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has made CUET (Common University Entrance Examination) mandatory for admission to undergraduate programmes in all Central Universities.

Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Students applying for PMSS 2022 for any course or class have to meet certain eligibility criteria:

Students should be between 18 to 25 years.
Students' family annual income is less than Rs. 6 lakhs.
Students who have taken admission in any technical or professional diploma/ graduation course in 2022.
Students who have completed class 12th, graduation or diploma with at least 60% marks.
Student who is a dependent ward or widow of ex-servicemen and ex- coast guard personnel who died or became criplled while serving the country.
Student who is not a civilian or has never received any paramilitary award.
Student who is enrolled in a professional degree course but not receiving a stipend.
Students who are pursuing their studies on a part time basis.
