Students’ centric learning is the main objective of grooming students over their stay on campus. The process is institutionalized & evolved gradually to shape the students of the future that they visualized. Faculty facilitates the process with planned resources created by the Institute. Major salient features & key programmes are given here under;

1) Syllabus is designed in a holistic way incorporating core basics subjects on physics; chemistry & maths; engineering subject covering core; elective & open elective. The course is designed by members of Board of Studies & approved by the Academic Council.

2) To integrate the students with practical learning three modules are designed each at the end of 1st, 2nd & 3rd year; during the vacation period as under;
· Civic Service & Corporate Responsibility (CSSR); for one month
· Industrial Orientation (IO); 8-10 industrial visits are carried out in 30-45 days
· Industrial Training (IT) - six weeks in plant training
All three practical learning interventions are a regular part of the programme. These are credit based & systematically planned; implemented as well as evaluated.

3) 10 % of total classes are delivered by experts from industry/academia who are invited to share their experiences. This is done practical for all subjects & it is facilitated by concerned faculty taking the subject.

4) Centres of Excellence (CoE) are created like:

  1. Siemens Centre of Excellence to impart practical learning on automation; CIM; robotics..etc
  2. Solar Research Development Centre
  3. Centre of Excellence for Geothermal Energy
  4. International Automobile Centre of Excellence

5) Local Chapter for National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is established to facilitate learning from the best of the resources from India & Abroad.

6) Students chapter run with the participation of industry are managed by students like Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), American Society of Quality (ASQ); Indian Institute of Welding (IIW)…etc

7) Internal Quality Enhancement Committees (IQEC) are well placed at the department/school/university level to monitor & enhance the practical learning taking place at all levels.

8) Capsules courses are planned for students – minimum three & maximum six during the graduation to facilitate additional learning to improve the relevance of the course offered by the university. It is planned that such courses are delivered by industry people.

9) Paper setting & answer sheet evaluation mechanism is well in place to ensure that subject learning outcomes are achieved.

10) Board of Studies (BoS) is constituted at each branch level & they meet at regular intervals. Cancellation Policy

  • Candidate shall apply for cancellation in due format available with MIT – WPU and submit signed copy of application in person or send through email mentioned in the Application Form to the concerned Head of School/Department of MIT –WPU
  • After receiving an admission cancellation request from the candidate, the Head of the concerned school/department of MIT –WPU shall recommend the case and forward the case to the Registrar through the Dean, Admissions for canceling the admission immediately. The admissions section shall give the acknowledgement of cancellation of admission to the student and a copy of the same will be sent to the concerned school for records.

    • The BA Honours (Govt Admn) degree program focuses on the experiential, facilitative and case study method of learning whereby the students are exposed to a participative mode of learning.
    • The highlights are –

Application to be done on website www.mitwpu.edu.in and click on the apply tab and payment of Rs. 1500/- to be done online (Nonrefundable). The application process started on the website from 1st January 2020.

  1. Upon successful payment of admission form fee, you will receive a User ID and a Password, which can be used for updating or modifying this application form information.
  2. Please keep the Login credentials for later use, such as for- updating the score/percentile after exam results (HSC, MHT-CET 2020 and JEE (Main) 2020) and for uploading the required documents.
