BIT Mesra is better than NIT Jamshedpur, especially for branches like Computer Science and Information Technology. It offers excellent placements for these branches. Companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart, Direct-I, etc. recruit from the institute. While many of these institutes don’t visit NITJ. According to the recent highlights of BIT Mesra placement, the average package for CSE is around INR 13 LPA.
The coding culture in this institute is still developing, but my friend told me that it has improved since 2014 when he took admission to this institute. He also said that the students here performed a remarkable job in boosting the actual culture in coding in this institute.
Thereby, it is concluded that still, it is a long way to go, but the students here are maintaining a great pace.
No, you can’t take admission in BIT Mesra and NIT Jamshedpur after qualifying Jharkhand combined examination. You need to appear for JEE Main, to get admission to these institutes. You will get a shortlist if you clear the required cutoff.
Students qualifying Jharkhand combined examination can take admission to state-level colleges of Jharkhand such as BIT Sindri.
Both NIT Jamshedpur and NIT Jalandhar offer excellent B.Tech CSE programs and have a good track record of placements. However, if you have to choose one of the two based solely on placements, it would be recommended to go for CSE NIT Jamshedpur. Here are a few reasons why:
Both colleges have a good reputation and offer quality education in the field of Computer Science. Placements are just one of the many factors to consider when choosing a college, and it's recommended to research and compare the colleges based on factors such as curriculum, faculty, infrastructure, and campus life before making a decision.
NIT JALANDHAR CSE should be prioritized over NIT JAMSHEDPUR CSE and NIT PATNA CSE. If you look at their placement, you'll see that there isn't much of a difference between these colleges when it comes to this branch. All you need is good infrastructure and a welcoming atmosphere; otherwise, sooner or later you will find yourself regretting your choice somewhere on campus. When discussing the infrastructure of these colleges, you must consider their NIRF ranking.
To be honest, NIT Patna's campus and facilities are fairly mediocre and unsatisfactory. Then there's NIT Jamshedpur, which is right next door. It, too, needs to improve significantly. However, because it is located in an industrial area, it attracts a large number of students who study Electrical, Mechanical, and other related fields.
A senior of mine from school used to be a student of NIT Jamshedpur. She has said that the first-year students are given the mega hostel. It is the best building of NIT Jamshedpur. My senior was so comfortable in her hostel that she often used to skip classes to stay indoors.
There are drawbacks too as listed below:
My senior found her hostel very comfortable while she was a student there.
From the second year onwards, you will be allotted single rooms, unlike the first year.
