It is suggested you choose CSE at KIIT University. One of my friends studied there. According to him, there is no comparison between the branch of KIIT CSE and CET.

The program applies to CSE, except that in the first semester you have to study biology. KIIT develops practical applications for students as well as the theory of study.
Joining KIIT will be a better option. The institute gives students the freedom to explore the things that interest them. It’s easy to score good grades with a little bit of effort. So, you will have a lot of time on your hand to explore and learn.
The institute offers good placements. Top MNCs like Microsoft, CodeNation, Amazon, Vmware, Directi, etc. are among the major recruiters that take part in KIIT placement. According to recent placement highlights, students of KIIT received an average CTC of around INR 6.05 LPA.
Having read reviews online about KIIT, I can say that it has a huge demand among potential candidates. It has an amazing infrastructure, culture, exposure, facilities, faculties, and much more.
There will be a total of 4 exams in an academic year out of which 2 will be mid-semester exams of 25 marks each and two end semester exams of 60 marks.
Semester | Mid-Term | End-Term |
1st | August or September | December |
2nd | February | April |
Practical exams are conducted prior to the end semester exams. The syllabus varies with different semesters. The examinations and question papers of different semesters are totally independent of each other.
I have a few friends from KIIT and according to them, the gym in KIIT is equipped with the latest machines and instruments. Students can visit the gym from the 1st year itself however they are not allowed to use the gym facilities till the 2nd semester begins.
As 1st-semester students, you won’t be able to use the gym facilities. The restrictions are lifted for the 2nd-semester, and students are allowed to hit the gym and engage in any activity they wish for. The 1st-semester students are not allowed for security reasons.
KIIT will take all of your parents' hard-earned money. They will allow your entire batch to sit in some 2 to 4 average companies through campus placement, but if you want to work for any services-based IT company, you can get admission to KIIT. If GATE/IES/PSU is your goal, it is best to study in a college that is close to your home and has lower fees.
HBTI is the best not only in UP but across the country, with an excellent alumni base dating back to 1921. Each year, the best students from UP attend this prestigious institute.
IET is not bad, but when compared to HBTI, it falls short in terms of placements, alumni base, academics, and so on.
CSE in KIIT is better than IT in IEM, Kolkata. It offers better exposure to students. In terms of infrastructure, facilities, and placement, it is better as well. According to the recent placement highlights, the average CTC offered to CSE students is around INR 5 LPA. While the highest CTC offered this year was INR 12 LPA - 14 LPA. Companies such as Accenture, TCS, IBM, etc. take part in the campus recruitment of KIIT.
One of my cousins studied at KIIT and it is an amazing college in East India, with a wonderful infrastructure, skilled faculties, and placement records. The alumni network of KIIT is its biggest asset.
On the other hand, Maharaja SurajMal College has a decent campus. The infrastructure is quite old and students complain about the cleanliness around the campus pretty often. There is WiFi service throughout the campus. The library is common for all the branches and is not maintained well.
