Is AEEE harder than JEE or BITSAT?

AEEE is conducted in both pen-and-paper and computer-based modes. While JEE and BITSAT are fully computer-based. AEEE and other exams also have a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer. AEEE is a national level exam like the JEE. It consists of a major percentage of higher-order thinking questions. The paper is prepared, keeping in mind the students from the CBSE and ICSE boards.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Students aiming to take the BITSAT 2021 exam should have passed 12th level in 2020 with physics, chemistry, and maths and should have proficiency in the English language.

• For the JEE 2021 entrance exam for admissions into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, students need 75% or above marks in 10+2. The subject combination needed to sit for BTech in Physics, Mathematics, and anyone of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a vocational subject.

• To enroll in courses taught at the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, students take the AEEE for which they should have been born on or after July 1, 2000. And should have procured at least 60% in physics Chemistry and maths.

Sections and Marks Distribution:

• The AEEE is divided into three sections for physics, chemistry, and maths with 15, 15, and 30 MCQ questions from each making it a 60 in total. Students will get 3 marks for each correct answer.

• The 3 hours long JEE entrance is divided into 3 sections as well. Students will be tested through objective MCQs with 25 questions in each section for BE/BTech paper 1 making it 75 in total; 77 questions for the BArch program and 100 for the BPlan program.

• BITSAT on the other hand has 4 sections with 40 MCQs of physics in section 1; 40 of chemistry in section 2; 25 of English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning in section 3; and 45 questions of maths and biology in section 4. A total of 150 questions will have to be attempted and 3 marks will be given for a correct answer.
