Yes, you need to do a B.Ed after MCA to apply for CTET. According to CTET eligibility criteria, applicants should have completed an NCTE approved teaching course. So, after MCA, doing a B.Ed is necessary. You can apply for CTET, in the second year of your B.Ed or after completing the degree.

Students do not need to complete B.ed after MCA to be eligible for CTET. If you are looking at Computer teaching jobs like PGT or TGT in private or government schools then you can apply without appearing for B.ed or CTET.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is an all-India entrance test. It determines the eligibility of aspirants to become a teacher from Classes 1 to 8. They can choose to give both parts of the exam or a singular part, depending on the classes they choose to teach.

Although, if you are looking to apply for jobs in a private institution or schools, you will be required to appear for exams specific to the schools eligibility requirements for temporary or permanent positions.

But for someone who has completed their MCA and is looking for teaching opportunities within the Computers department is not required to appear for CTET. Hence, you do not need to apply for a B.ed post with an MCA degree.
