The hostel facilities are IET DAVV Indore is decent. There is availability of all basic amenities just like any other hostel. The facilities offered include electricity, wifi, mess, and hostel canteen. Bathrooms are common. Students are given shared accommodations.

The hostel area is under CCTV surveillance. The last entry time for hostellers is 10 pm to 10:30 pm.

The hostels in IET DAVV Indore are equipped with all the basic amenities and there is nothing exceptional about them. However, check out the following details which might help you get a better view:

  • You’ll be provided with either double seater or a triple seater room. There is no single-seater room available. So, you’ll always have a roommate with you in case you need any help.
  • There is 24-hour electricity and Wi-Fi connection.
  • Good Mess and hostel canteens.
  • There is a common bathroom in the boys hostel. Also, there is no laundry service so you have to wash them on your own or give your clothes to a washerman who comes there twice a week.
  • CCTV cameras are only installed in common areas. The last entry time into the hostel is 10-10:30 PM.
  • You are allowed to park your own vehicles at the hostel parking itself.
  • The campus is just 5 min walk from the hostel which is a great plus point.

Some major downsides are listed below:

  • The nearest market is Bhawarkuan which is about 2 KM from the hostel. To get there, you will have to reach the college gate first and then you can take either a bus or auto, which costs around 5 to 10 Rupees in general.
  • The gym and common room are dysfunctional. Also, there are no courts and playgrounds in the whole IET itself.
  • Unfortunately, there is no stationary facility and medical facility in case of any emergency. For such situations, you’ll have to rely on your friends and roommates.

Also, you might want to check the hostel fee structure here:

Fee Description

Amount

Room rent (for the session)

INR 20,500

Caution Money* (only for new students)

INR 2,000

TOTAL

INR 22,500

(Mess charges are not included in the above structure and will be paid monthly)

If the quality of hostels matters a lot for you then consider both the upsides and downsides before getting into the college. However, at the end of the day, your success depends on your skills and knowledge.
