129 isn’t enough to get admission to Madras Institute of Technology. The required cutoff for any branch at MIT is around 195. For general category students, the cutoff is even higher.

MIT admission is purely based on merit and students are shortlisted through Anna University counseling. With a score of 129, there is little to no possibility of getting any branch at MIT.

No, 129/200 is not enough to get admission in any field of Madras Institute of Technology. Taking admission to other colleges with this score might not be a good idea. Private institutions charge higher fees.

If you are passionate about engineering, then you are advised to take a drop and prepare for JEE. You will get admission in IITs and NITs if you score well. But even if your score didn’t match cut-offs, then you can take admission in any college which admits students through JEE score with scholarship.

Also, engineering is not the only option, you are open to choose any other science stream of your choice. One of my friends had a keen interest in physics and decided to pursue B.S M.S but now he is in another field.

Therefore, you cannot take admission to MIT with this score. Also, do not choose any other college as it would be expensive.
