According to some of my friends at IIM Trichy, as far as IIMs are concerned, you will definitely find information regarding the weightage provided to X, XII & graduate marks that are accounted for in the selection process. However, for XLRI and ISB, there is not much information provided for this.

  • From what you will observe from previous admissions, XLRI is not very critical about this. Your admission is mainly concerned with your XAT percentile and your PI performance which are the crucial factors.
  • For ISB, they will probably not look at your X and XII marks but your graduate marks will definitely be an indicator.
  • If you are good at academics and if your profile matches the requirements of their 1-year rigorous program.
  • You are expected to have at least an 80 or more in your graduate years and if not, you will be required to compensate for it with GMAT scores in the area of 730 or more.

You can be sure that IIMs consider class 10th and 12th marks but XLRI and ISB do not follow that strictly.
