Which is better, IIIT Lucknow or IIIT Guwahati for a boy from UP?

IIIT Lucknow is a better option for a boy living in Uttar Pradesh because it is closer to home and provides a more homelike environment.

At IIIT Lucknow, you will have access to all of the resources necessary for students to get the best placements and develop holistically. Among the newer IIITs, there is one of the best coding environments and placement statistics. The average placement in the first batch was 11.37 LPA. The reason for all of this is that they were mentored by IIIT Allahabad in their early stages, and today they are more than capable of providing world-class facilities on their own.

The college has an exemplary placement rate. The college placement council is extremely helpful and walks us through the process of placement. The committee has the ability to bring in a large number of high-quality companies for placement.

My friend studies at IIIT Lucknow which seems to be the best option as he resides in UP, not just because of the location factor, but for other reasons as well. It's a freshly built campus and the coding culture at IIIT Lucknow is beyond amazing, it's stupendous!

Another highlight of the institute is the teaching staff - almost each one of them has a Ph.D. and is nationally and internationally renowned and have published papers on their respective topics.

IIIT L also offers smooth connectivity to companies as well. Also, a new Tech park is being set up near IIIT L which will boost much in the future.

Now, as for the other institute-

IIIT Guwahati is as new as IIIT Lucknow and has CS, ECE, and IT departments. IIIT L as a shortcoming only has an IT department.
IIIT G is in Guwahati, which is far, although a beautiful landscape; it's still farther for a person from UP.
IIIT Guwahati does not score well on its coding culture and faculty. It's not bad but incomparable to that of IIIT Lucknow.

As for placements, according to the data of 2019, the highest salary is INR 43 LPA and the average is INR 18.43 LPA. On the other hand, the average package of IIIT G is around INR 7 LPA and the highest package goes up to INR 16 LPA.
