Initiated in 1961, Hornby Scholarships are awarded to experienced English language professional including teachers, teacher-trainers, inspectors, and material writers who are not from the UK. The scholarship, offered by the University of Warwick, give such professionals a chance to study a one-year Masters in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
It is a full-scholarship program and is provided every year to the international English Language teachers who have a graduate degree and work experience as a trainee or teacher. Since its establishment, the trust has provided over 500 English Teaching scholarships.
