(ISC)² Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarships

Center for Cyber Safety and Education offers (ISC)² Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarships to female students pursuing degrees in the field of cybersecurity or information assurance. The scholarships are applicable across the globe in Canadian Universities, US Universities, Indian Universities, Australian Universities, U.K Universities, etc.

  • (ISC)² Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarships are offered to full-time or part-time students.
  • Up to 10 Cybersecurity Scholarships are awarded worth 1,000 USD to 6,000 USD.
  • Separate application form is mandatory to avail (ISC)² Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarships.
  • Applicants must fulfill the entry requirements of their chosen university in the UK, US, Canada, etc.

Some of the popular and high ranking universities offering programs in cybersecurity are John Hopkins University, Iowa State University, King’s College London, Macquarie University, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must be a high school student, undergraduate student or graduate student to be eligible for the scholarship.

To qualify for the (ISC)² Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarships, applicants have to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

  • Pursuing or planning to pursue a degree with a focus on cybersecurity or information assurance.
    • Applicable for full-time, part-time, or online program
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or an analogous rank based on a comparable scale).
  • Must be attending a university in the US or Internationally.

Note: Applicants don't need to be currently enrolled, however, no awards will be disbursed until the recipient is enrolled in a college or university.


Application Process

Applicants of the (ISC)² Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarships are required to complete the application form available on the official website of the Center for Cyber Safety and Education.

Along with the form, applicants must submit the necessary student supporting documentation.

Student supporting Documents

  • Unofficial transcripts from current (or most recent) educational institutions.
  • One Letter of Recommendation outlining:-
    • How long have you known the applicant and in what capacity?
    • Skills or abilities that the applicant has which will support her in completing a degree
    • Other information about the applicants' consideration?
  • Resume/CV of (maximum 3 pages)
  • TOEFL or IELTS score (if applicable)
  • Essay questions detailing about:
    • Why an applicant deserves a Center for Cyber Safety and Education Scholarship.
    • Need the scholarship, personal and educational backgrounds
    • Goals for an academic career and in a professional career.
    • Hobbies or extracurricular activities.

Only those applications which are complete in all respects will be forwarded to the selection committee of (ISC)² Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarships.


Selection Process

For the selection process of (ISC)² Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarships, academic references are preferred.

Applicants will be given scores by members of (ISC)² and scholarship sponsors (if applicable). Scoring of the applicants will be based upon the following criteria:

  • Passion:- passion for the field of cybersecurity and information technology
  • Merit:- academic performance and extracurricular activities of students
  • Financial Need:- Applicants must demonstrate the financial need for the scholarship.

Apart from this, the committee might consider the exam scores submitted to study abroad.
