The Swansea International Excellence Scholarship is designed for international students starting undergraduate and graduate programs at the university. UG and PG scholarship recipients receive scholarships up to 6,000 GBP and 4,000 GBP respectively.

To be considered for Swansea International Excellence Scholarship, an applicant
Note: The scholarship is for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Doctorate students are not eligible to apply or this scholarship.
Before applying for Swansea International Excellence Scholarship, it is mandatory for applicants to secure admission at Swansea University.
Applicants then must complete an online scholarship application form. The form should be complete in all respects to avoid rejection. The current deadline to fill this form is June 30,2023
Recipients of the Swansea International Excellence Scholarship are shortlisted and selected on the basis of academic merit.
However, the previous academic record and performance, along with the fulfillment of all the eligibility criteria are taken into consideration prior to taking the final decision. Also, an applicant’s IELTS score plays a crucial role.
The decision of the Swansea University Awarding Committee is final and binding on all the applicants.
Note: Interviews are taken if necessary through an electronic medium.
The Swansea International Excellence Scholarship is available for international undergraduate and postgraduate students.
For UG students, the first-year grant is £4,000 and the second-year grant will be £2,000. However, the second-year grant will be released only if the student secures 65% marks in his/her first-year study. For PG students, scholarship of £4,000 is available only for the first-year studies.
The awarding committee of the university is the sole authority for deciding these scholarships. The applicants may get lower or higher amounts than what they have applied for.
The university gives an opportunity to make an appeal to the International development office within 15 days from the date scholarship is withdrawn, in case the applicant finds the step unjustified.
