International students beginning UG programs can apply for the University of Redlands Achievement Award. The scholarship is applicable for all the Redlands undergraduate degree programs.

  • Recipients of the University of Redlands Achievement Award receive up to USD 30,000.
  • The Achievement award does not require any separate scholarship application.
    • Applicants are evaluated on the basis of their Common/Coalition applications.
  • To renew the scholarship, applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Eligibility Criteria

The University of Redlands does not have any defined eligibility criteria for Achievement Awards.

All an applicant has to do is, obtain admission at the University of Redlands, in an eligible UG program.

Apart from this, the applicant has to write an essay mentioning the reasons for choosing the particular course and the institution and how this study will make a difference to his/her career and community.

Since the University of Redlands Achievement Awards is a renewable program, applicants must fulfill the ongoing eligibility. That is, applicants must secure a minimum GPA of 3.0.

  • The student should show his/her motivation to serve the community through his/her education.
  • The university offers many different merit and talent scholarships and allows clubbing some of them. The latest award/grant won by the applicant will list the possible awards/scholarships that a student can avail of together.
  • The university also expects the winner(s) to thank the award money contributor so that they also feel proud of their contribution.

The University of Redlands Achievement Awards does not require any separate application form.

Eligible students will be automatically considered on the basis of their applications for admission to the University of Redlands.


Selection Process

As mentioned above, eligibility for the University of Redlands Achievement Award is linked to the common application form used for admission to all UG courses.

An essay is included in the application form to discuss the reasoning of the current course opted and how enthusiasm towards working for community or society is displayed by the applicant; this essay plays an important role in selecting the candidates for the award.

The expert committee considers all the admitted students and shortlisting is done on the basis of the academic and co-curricular record of excellence, and the strong motivational letter.

The successful students are informed before the commencement of classes and the amount of award is credited towards their tuition fees which partly cover the fees.

Note: The candidates may also be called for a presentation or an interview if so desired.


Grant Details

The University of Redlands Achievement Award is to financially support meritorious and outstanding students. There is no separate application to be filled to apply for this award.

The award is given every year and is renewed for those who continue to achieve excellent academic performance. The students must fill their common application form carefully and provide all the necessary information that can influence the grant of the award.
