Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship- Global Allianz Fund

Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship-Global Allianz Fund, at Macquarie University, is offered to one international student, starting their UG and PG program.

Eligibility Criteria

Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship- Global Allianz Fund, requires applicants to fulfill the following requirements:

  • Citizen of any country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Fulfillment of academic and English requirements of eligible UG and PG programs.
  • Attain a minimum GPA of 5.0 out of 7 for the PG and an ATAR score of 90 for the UG program.
  • A conditional or unconditional offer of admission to Macquarie University degree, beginning in 2020.
  • Holds an Allianz Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

Application Process

Eligible applicants who receive their admission offer must proceed to complete their VCIS - Global Allianz Fund scholarship application.

In the scholarship application form, applicants are required to enter “Allianz” in the Scholarship Name field.

Guidelines to Complete Macquarie VCIS - Global Allianz Fund Application

  • Macquarie University Student Number to complete scholarship application.
  • Submit the Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship- Global Allianz Fund scholarship form as early as possible.
  • Successful applicants will be contacted by the university for further steps.

Selection Process

Recipients of Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship- Global Allianz Fund are shortlisted on the basis of academic merit.

The selection panel of Macquarie University evaluates an applicant’s score, financial aid, IELTS/TOEFL score. Shortlisted students will be contacted by the university and will be asked to make a bio video and submit it directly to the administration.

The final decision of the recipients is based on this video only. When this process is over, the selection board chooses the most potential candidate who should receive the award and is informed of the final result.


Grant Details

Macquarie University provides a reduction in fees for the course of students through the Vice Chancellor's International Scholarship - Global Allianz Fund.

The student who receives the scholarship gets a reduction of AUD 15000 on their course fees. The scholarship is applicable to selective UG and PG degree programs.

The grant is issued only once and is non-renewable. Students are judged on the basis of academic merit and excellence. Only one student is applicable for this award on the campus.

Hence there is immense competition for this scholarship. Students are also advised to take either the TOEFL or the IELTS to improve their chances of receiving the aid. The deadline for the grant is November 30.
