St. Andrews International Excellence Scholarship

Two international students beginning a UG program at St. Andrews University can apply for St. Andrews International Excellence Scholarship. The program is applicable for all the programs except for a UG degree in medicine and International honors.

Submission of supporting documents along with the scholarship application is a must.
Recipients receive a scholarship amount of GBP 25,000, covering tuition fees and living expenses.
Deadline for this year has expired.

Eligibility Criteria

The university has fixed eligibility criteria for St. Andrews International Excellence Scholarship. Eligible applicants for the scholarship is the one who fulfills the following requirements:

Must be an international student
Enrolling in a first-year UG degree at St. Andrews
- Any program except for medicine and BA International honors.
Beginning studies at the university in 2023.

NOTE: Scholarship will not be available to students transferring to St Andrew’s/have deferred entry.

Application Process

One is free to apply for the St. Andrews International Excellence Scholarship alongside with applying for a course. Here’s a step by step guide for the application process.

Log In & Choose: Log in to ‘My Application’ (in case of a recent application, wait for the next working day) and choose ‘Scholarships and Funding’ under the Useful Link section, then choose View the scholarships and funding catalog.
Enter Details: Under ‘Funding Search’, fill in the academic year, award type (best suited to requirement) and study level (ignore domicile country and school boxes). Click Refresh List.
Search, Select and Apply: A list of scholarships would appear, in case of a specific scholarship, search in the ‘Filter’ box. Then proceed to apply for the scholarship best suited.
In case of Error: The option to edit, correct and reapplying is available in case of any errors occurring.

Selection Process

The Selection Committee of the St. Andrews seeks out applicants with exceptional academic excellence. Apart from this, there are no specific or fixed selection criteria.

Every year, only two applicants are rewarded under the St. Andrews International Excellence Scholarship.

Students can their results would reflect under the ‘View my Applications’ in Scholarships and Funding of the My Application page. The results will be declared by Mid-March 2023.

Recipients of St. Andrews International Excellence Scholarship are expected to play an ambassadorial role and represent St. Andrews University at different events.

Grant Details

St. Andrews International Excellence Scholarship is a means provided by the university, which allows international students to pursue their chosen UG degree program and study in the UK.

Two recipients of St. Andrews International Excellence Scholarship receive financial aid worth GBP 25,000 for the duration of their program. Also, the scholarship amount can be used to cover the recipient’s living costs in the UK.
