University of London Global Leaders Scholarship

Global Leaders Scholarship is awarded to promising students with a good academic record at the University of London. It is offered to both EU and International students at the UG level during the first year of the course.

Applicants must have completed a non-UK Degree in their home country.
- It must be equivalent to 'A' Levels, for example, French Baccalaureate, Italian Maturita or US High School Diploma.
The Global Leaders Scholarship amounts to 1000 GBP.
Students need to submit a personal statement along with the application form to be considered.
The last date to register for the scholarship is April 27,2023

It should be noted that if one is receiving this scholarship he/she is not entitled to any other scholarship offered by the university.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for the Global Leaders Scholarship at the University of London, applicants must fulfill the following Eligibility Criteria:

Be an international or EU student with a non-UK home country degree equivalent to 'A' level like Italian Maturita, US High School Diploma or French Baccalaureate
Must be pursuing full-time UG programs at the University of London.
An international student must be pursuing an international foundation program
Must have achieved grades specified in the offer letter.

Students from Cass Business School are not eligible to apply.

Application Process

Students must secure admission at the University of London to be considered for the scholarship. Eligible candidates will be invited to register for the scholarship.

If one feels that he/she should have been sent the invitation, he/she may contact the University Admission Office. They can also contact in case of loss of email.

How to apply

You need to have submitted a complete admission application to UCL (including the submission of references) in order to apply for the scholarship.

While you do not need to have received an offer of admission to be eligible for this scholarship, you will need to have had your fee status confirmed by UCL Admissions. For some students this happens shortly after you apply to the university, but for many this will not happen until just before an offer of admission is made. If you are unable to access the scholarship application form, you may need to wait until UCL has decided whether to make you an admission offer. Please ensure you apply for admission well before the scholarship deadline.

Instructions for accessing the online scholarship application form:

Login to Portico with your normal details.
Click on the ‘View’ button for the ‘Active Application’ that you wish to apply for funding for.
In the application screen, click on the ‘Funding’ in the menu at the top of the page.
You are now on the funding page. To find out which funds you are eligible to apply for click 'Check and apply' under ‘Funds Available’.
Click on the scholarship name of the scheme that you wish to apply for.

NB. For each programme that you wish to apply for funding for, you will need to submit a separate scholarship application form.

Global Leaders Scholarship at the University of London is awarded to students by considering two parameters:

Academic Merit
Personal Statement

Exceptional academic merit and personal statement increase the chance of getting selected.

The University Admission Office deals with all the applications regarding the scholarship.
They evaluate the application and their decision is final.

Grant Details

Students who are pursuing their full-time undergraduate studies and are in their first year are offered with Global Leaders Scholarships at the University of London.

The Scholarship amounts to £ 1000 and is given in one-time payment mode.
Eligible students are sent an invitation to apply for the Scholarship.
The last date to apply for the scholarship is April 27,2023
It is given to students on the basis of merit and their personal statement.

Terms and conditions Regarding the Global Leaders Scholarship

If students get the admission and are selected for the scholarship but they do not meet certain conditions as mentioned in the offer letter, in such cases the payment of scholarship is upon the discretion of the Authorities.
Students who withdraw from the university before the completion of the first year have to repay the scholarship.
The university reserves the right to make any changes regarding the scholarship.
