Eligibility Criteria

The Tuition Fee Scholarship at the Mid Sweden University is awarded to all those candidates who are enrolled in the eligible master’s program at the Mid Sweden University. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicant must be:

  • a citizen from countries outside the EEA/ EU/ Switzerland
  • Before applying for the scholarship, the candidates must have enrolled themselves in the study course at Mid Sweden University.
  • The applicants must have achieved excellent grades and have a good achievement record at the university level.

The Tuition Fee Scholarship, Mid Sweden University are available for programs starting in Autumn 2023. The programs include:

Applicants enrolling in the above-mentioned programs are the ones eligible for the Tuition Fee Scholarship.


Application Process

To apply for the Tuition Fee Scholarship, Mid Sweden University, the applicants are required to complete their applications for admissions at Mid Sweden University by January 16, 2023.

  • Applicants will need to complete their scholarship application by February 28, 2023.
  • A statement of purpose mentioning the reason behind the choice of a particular subject.

Applicants must make sure to complete their admission applications to the university and then apply for the scholarship.


Selection Process

Candidates with excellent academic achievement records are given the priority. The candidates applying for the scholarship are not required to submit their supporting documents again. The documents sent to the university at the time of admission will be considered for the same. The candidates are selected based on their answers to the essay questions given in the application.

The selection criteria for the Tuition Fee Scholarship, Mid Sweden University is based on-

The notification of the scholarship result is emailed to the students no later than April 30, 2023. Students are required to offer the scholarship within 7 days.


Grant Details

The Tuition Fee Scholarship at the Mid Sweden University is awarded to the high performing students who wish to apply for the study in Sweden at the Mid Sweden University.

The scholarship waives off the tuition fee up to 70,000 SEK, 140,000 SEK or 250,000 SEK to the enrolled students towards the compulsory tuition fees depending on the course chosen.

Recipients of the Tuition Fee Scholarship do not receive the scholarship award. Instead, the scholarship amount is deducted from the tuition fee. Students are sent an email that confirms the payment of the tuition fee. No additional scholarship certificate is provided.

Mid Sweden University informs the Swedish Migration Agency that the student’s tuition fee has been paid through the scholarship. Therefore, no certificate is required for the residence permit application. A scholarship contract is handed out upon arrival to the university campus.
