Southampton international Merit scholarships

To be eligible for receiving Southampton international Merit scholarships, the scholarship, applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

• Must meet the minimum qualification requirements of the UG and PG courses at the university.
• Must be an international student liable to pay tuition fees.
• Must pay the necessary tuition fee deposit by the date notified on the offer letter.
• Must be received an unconditional offer to the study at University of Southampton

Southampton international Merit scholarships are not eligible for :

• Students studying at the university as a period of study abroad, a student exchange or as a student visitor.
• Students entering the second year or subsequent years, of a UG degree or repeating a year.
• Entering a UG degree with a foundation qualification.
• Students whose tuition is fully or partially funded by any other sponsored.
• Students who want to pursue UG programs at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of Southampton and medical courses
• Not available for Postgraduate Research programs and:
  • Continuing professional development programs
  • Distance Learning programs
  • Programs offered at a University of Southampton partner institution/campus
• These scholarships are not available to students studying:
  • on PGCert, PGDip, Foundation or PGR courses
  • on Distance Learning courses
  • with a partner institution
  • at our campus in Malaysia
  • on continuing professional development (CPD) courses
  • only pre-sessional English - pre-sessional English students with an offer to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level can still apply

No external application is required to be submitted at the university, applicants will be assessed when applying for an eligible course to study at the University.

There is no specific application process for the scholarship. Candidates will be asked about the scholarship details in the offer letter itself. So, the applicant must complete an admission application online through UCAS only.

However, students must check admission requirements at the University of Southampton to ease the application process.

Applicants will be evaluated based on their admission applications. The selection for the scholarship is done on a merit basis.

Also, the equivalency of international qualification will be determined by the university as per their standards. Recipients of the scholarship will be sent written confirmation by the university itself.
