Eligibility Criteria
The Business Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence is open to full time international/ domestic students and part-time domestic students, given that they fulfill the given requirements.
- Enrolled in an eligible postgraduate program at the University of Sydney Business School.
- Must be-
- a full-time continuing international student
- a full-time or part-time continuing domestic student
- Complete a minimum of 12 credit points in a semester in case of part-time enrollment
- Complete 18 credit points in the semester in case of a full-time enrollment.
- Any grades achieved through the previous degree within the business school/other institutes would not be considered for the grade performance.
Previous semester awardees can be considered for the award again, however, commencing students are not eligible for the scholarship.
Application Process
The Business Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence requires no separate scholarship application. The students who have completed the required units and fulfilled the criteria are deemed eligible for the scholarship award.
Selection Process
Selections for the Business Dean's Scholarship for Academic Excellence would be done solely based on the previous semester’s average marks.
- Postgraduate students who rank in the top 6 for a full-time or part-time coursework would be considered.
- Students from one of the below mentioned eligible programs are selected-
- Master of Commerce
- Master of Professional Accounting
- Master of Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations
- Master of Logistics Management
- Master of Business Administration
- Master of International Business
- Master of Marketing
- Master of Transport Management
- Master of Management
- Master of Management (CEMS)
- The final 6 candidates would be chosen by a selection committee with the Business School Dean or a delegate chairing it.
The Business Dean's Scholarship for Academic Excellence is a merit-based award. Applicants must maintain their enrollment status throughout the study years at the University of Sydney Business School.
Grant Details
The University of Sydney offers Business Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence to recognize its exceptionally meritorious students studying in Australia. The scholarship also works to promote a more engaging and competitive environment for its students.
- Offered only to the postgraduate coursework students in the second or subsequent year of study.
- Award is for the payment of tuition fees covering the two units of study.
- In case a student suspends his/her enrollment or withdraws below the minimum enrolment load they may have to repay scholarship funds.
- Scholarship offers cannot be deferred or transferred.
- Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with any other university scholarship funding that assists with tuition fees, notably the-
- Business Leader Postgraduate Scholarship
- Master of Management Scholarship
The student would also be expected to promote the program they’re enrolled in and represent the Business School at student orientation, marketing events, and corporate networking events.
