RGU Vice-Chancellor's Undergraduate Scholarship

RGU Vice-Chancellor’s Undergraduate Scholarship covers the first year tuition fees of the recipients at Robert Gordon University(RGU). The scholarship is available to students undertaking the UG program at RGU.

  • The scholarship is applicable to self-funded full-time students at Robert Gordon University.
  • Extermal applications must be mailed at the university address for consideration.
  • The application deadline for the scholarship is June 30,2023

RGU Vice-Chancellor’s Undergraduate Scholarship is a merit-based award. Students will be judged based upon their responses in the application form.

The shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend telephonic or skype interview by the selection panel at the Robert Gordon University.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must secure admission at RGU to be eligible for the RGU Vice-Chancellor’s Undergraduate Scholarship. Apart from this, applicants must fulfill the eligibility requirements listed below:

  • Must be from one of the following countries: Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, China, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, etc.
  • be applying to directly enter either year 1 or year 2 of an undergraduate course at RGU
  • hold an offer from Robert Gordon University for a full time on campus undergraduate course
  • be classed as the university as either an international or European fee payer
  • must be a self-funding student
  • be applying for the September start.  Students who are studying the January start, fast track programme are eligible to apply for this scholarship when they begin their second year in September of that same year, but the January start shorter programme is not eligible for this scholarship
  • be willing to embody the experience, by engaging with extra-curricular activities, and act as an ambassador for Robert Gordon University, by promoting the value of studying at Robert Gordon University
  • Upload all required documentation (proof of qualification, passport, personal statement and evidence of English Language) by the 7 July.  Please note if you are awaiting final results then please let us know at Scholarship-awards@rgu.ac.uk
  • Selection of successful awardee is based on academic merit.

Application Process

Applicants who have secured admission at RGU must apply for the RGU Vice-Chancellor’s Undergraduate Scholarship on the official website.

Applicants must complete the application form with personal details and required documents.

Student Supporting Documents

  • A 500-word statement demonstrating why the scholarship is important
  • Academic Transcripts
  • Academic Prizes or any work experience

The completed application along with all required documents must be mailed at io@rgu.ac.uk. before July 7, 2023.


Selection Process

The selection of the recipients for RGU Vice-Chancellor’s Undergraduate Scholarship is done based on merit out of the pool of applicants who meet the eligibility criteria.

The recipient must be a self-funded student to qualify for the award. Applicants will be shortlisted and selected for telephonic or skype interview.

The final decision regarding the recipients of the scholarship is taken by the Scholarship Panel.

RGU Vice-Chancellor’s Undergraduate Scholarship is presented to international students who wish to study abroad at RGU. International students from selected countries are eligible for the scholarship.

Terms and Conditions regarding RGU Vice-Chancellor’s Undergraduate Scholarship

  • The award of university scholarship, financial aid, and discount on payment will be applicable only at the time of enrolment at RGU.
  • The pro-rata basis of calculation shall be used for part-time students in deciding the amount of discount.
  • Any discount on the payment is awarded at the discretion of the University.
  • To make it rewarding and financially beneficial for the recipients, the university awards the sum higher of the financial award, scholarship, and discount.
  • However, recipients are eligible to receive any one award per offer.
